Charity foundation «Dniprovsky» with a rich 13-year history

Until February 24, 2022, in Kyiv many public organisations and charity foundations embraced their important social mission. After the massive invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine, all of them had to reformat their activities taking into account new challenges. Among the organisations that managed to successfully take over the social function of providing assistance to the Kyivans, the displaced people and Ukrainians affected by the war, as well as to preserve their cultural and sports direction, is the charity organisation (CO) «Dniprovskyi» Charity Foundation» (CF) headed by Anatolii Pavlenko. At the beginning of February, this organisation celebrated its thirteenth anniversary.

The «Dniprovskyi» CF planned to hold 81 cultural, artistic and sports events in 2022. Due to the full-scale invasion of the armed forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, the «Dniprovskyi» CF switched its activity to a volunteer one, to provide humanitarian support to the civilians, territorial defence forces and the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On the very next week of the war, on March 2, 2022, the «Dniprovskyi» Charity Foundation, along with members of the Public Council under the Dniprovskyi District State Administration in Kyiv, launched the «Vzaiemopomich» Operational Headquarters of  Humanitarian Aid.

On March 28, a “hotline” of the “Vzaiemopomich” Humanitarian Headquarters was arranged which Dnipro district residents could call and ask for help. During the active operation period of the call centre, hundreds of people have turned to it, including retirees, disabled people, large families, single mothers, and immigrants. The information received by the call centre was passed for processing to the strongholds of humanitarian aid, so the volunteers in the local areas could find out people’s needs directly from them.

During 2022, the “Vzaiemopomich” Operational Headquarters of  Humanitarian Aid received and distributed almost 300 tons of humanitarian aid from partners from Lviv, Slavuta, Khmelnytskyi, as well as from Latvia, Poland, Spain, Italy and Sweden.
